3 Give to Get

This is sermon number three in this series.

Acts 20:35 quotes one of Jesus’ sayings that the gospels don’t: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Luke 6:38 and 1 Timothy 6:17-19 teach us the same principle. In this sermon Pastor Gil mentions six reasons why giving is better than receiving and four ways to put this paradox into practice in our own lives. Let’s remember that all we have comes from God and belongs to him and that he has blessed us to be a blessing. In reality, we don’t give to get, we give because we’ve already received and in giving we find real joy.
