Some people have normal father stories with their own dad and/or with their children. A few have wonderful father stories. Many, however, have complicated, difficult, and sad father stories. Pastor Gil describes some of the painful father stories that have deeply impacted him and shares five gifts he received from his earthly father. But most of all, he reminds us that God redeems our father stories. From Ephesians 1:5, Gil reminds us that God is our ultimate Father and that God adopted us into his family out his sheer good pleasure. The sermon concludes offering us three simple but powerful lessons to remember this Father's Day.
