This sermon, the final one in the Greater series, is from Hebrews 13, the last chapter of the book.
Like any preacher, the author concludes with list - a rather long one - of practical application items. In the twelve preceding chapters the author has presented a strong Christology. This chapters tells us how that should impact our daily lives. This chapter has three main parts and the sermon focuses on the first section made up of verses 1-6 where we are encouraged to:
- display brother and sisterly love
- practice hospitality
- show compassion
- live in moral purity
- resist greed and embrace contentment
In the conclusion, the sermon asks three critical questions for self-evaluation.
